A Recovery-Friendly Workplace (RFW) is more than just a business designation—it’s a commitment to fostering a culture that values mental health and supports employees impacted by substance use disorder. These workplaces provide education, resources, and policies that reduce stigma, promote well-being, and empower employees to thrive. By creating safe and supportive environments, businesses enhance productivity and morale and contribute to a healthier, more resilient workforce. The Florida Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative was launched to expand these efforts across the state.

Our goals for the coming year are ambitious but necessary.

We aim to:

• Engage more businesses to join the movement and earn their RFW designation.
• Develop comprehensive training programs to equip employers and employees with tools to support recovery.
• Collaborate with local and state leaders to advocate for policies that sustain and grow recovery-friendly practices.
• Build a statewide network of businesses, recovery advocates, and community organizations united in this mission. To achieve these goals, we need your help. The success of this initiative depends on the generosity of donors and the dedication of businesses who share our vision.

How you can help power our mission:

• Make a Donation: Your contributions allow us to expand our outreach, provide resources, and support businesses committed to becoming certified Florida Recovery Friendly Workplaces.

• Support Giving Tuesday: Tuesday, December 3, on Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join this global movement of generosity by donating to the Florida RFW Coalition. Your support on this day will be instrumental in helping us reach our 2025 goals.
